What is HYROX?

It's not just a workout; it's a battle against yourself and the clock. 💪🔥 Hyrox combines functional fitness with running. It’s the ultimate test of strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Here’s a breakdown:  


Structure:

  • 8 Rounds: The race consists of eight rounds.  

  • 1km Run: Each round starts with a 1km run.  

  • Functional Workout: After the run, athletes complete one of 8 functional fitness exercises.

  • Exercise Rotation: The exercises rotate each round, ensuring a diverse workout.  


Exercises:

The 8 functional exercises in HYROX are:

  1. Ski Erg: A rowing machine that simulates cross-country skiing for 1000m.

  2. Sled Push: Pushing a weighted sled for 50m.

  3. Sled Pull: Pulling a weighted sled for 50m.

  4. Burpee Broad Jumps: Burpees followed by a broad jump for 80m.

  5. Row: Traditional rowing on a rowing machine for 1000m.

  6. Farmers Carry: Carrying 2 kettlebells for 200m.

  7. Sandbag Lunges: Walking lunges while carrying a sandbag for 100m.

  8. Wall Balls: Throwing a weighted ball against a target 100 times.
